Epsom Chamber Choir’s summer concert, ‘The Food of Love’, is wholly inspired by the works of William Shakespeare. George Shearing’s uplifting Songs & Sonnets take centre stage along with a medley of music from Leonard Bernstein’s take on Romeo and Juliet – West Side Story. Well-known pieces by George Gershwin as well as a selection of English madrigals and pieces by Eric Whitacre and Finnish composer Mäntyjärvi complete the programme.
