  • The Wedding Singer

Based on the hit New Line Cinema film by award-winning Adam Sandler, Epsom Players presents 'The Wedding Singer’ a smash-hit musical comedy.
Step back into 1985, Ridgefield, New Jersey: hair is big, collars are up and Robbie Hart is at the top of his game, until he gets stood up at the altar…
Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. Enter Julia, a happy-go-lucky waitress who wins his affection. As luck would have it, Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and, unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever.
The Wedding Singer’s sparkling new score does for the ’80s what Hairspray did for the ’60s. So dust off those leg warmers, pull out those shoulder pads and start up the DeLorean: get your tickets today!
This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International (Europe). All authorised performance materials are also supplied by MTI Europe.

  • Epsom Mental Health and Well-Being Festival

You may be aware that we are not holding a full week of Festival this year, to give some time to reflect on the way forward in a changed and changing world. But there are going to be some wonderful events, open to everyone at no cost. There is no need to book. Just come along. You will be made very welcome.
Monday 5 September - Monday 10 October TIME TO REMEMBER
Epsom used to have the largest cluster of psychiatric hospitals in Europe (and possibly in the world). Near the Hook Road arena is the Horton Cemetery, where over 9000 former residents of the hospital are buried in largely unmarked graves.
As part of this year’s Festival, every individual, family, charity, community group and organisation in the Borough is invited to paint a ceramic flower, obtainable from the Friends of Horton Cemetery stall in Epsom Market Place on Saturday 8 October or at St Barnabas’ Church, Temple Road, Epsom KT19 8HA on 10 October. It is hoped that 900 flowers will be painted and, in 2023, laid in memory of those who died.
