DESCRIPTION:Epsom Chamber Choir invites you to join them for a programme of choral music celebrating the British countryside. They will be performing a wide selection of English folk song arrangements\, including pieces by Vaughan Williams\, Britten\, Bairstow and Mealor as well as a set of songs called From the Bavarian Highlands by Elgar. The programme is summed up in a duet for flute and piano entitled Summer Music.

SUMMARY:Free concert  - Sarah Small\, viola da gamba
DESCRIPTION:With her eye on sustainability\, Sarah Small has been cycling from venue to venue with her viola da gamba (an early version of the cello) strapped to her bicycle on her UK concert tour. So far\, she’s clocked up 4500km and she’s now calling at St Martin’s Church in Epsom. Drawing inspiration from the natural world\, Sarah performs music old and new and is joined for this concert by local viola da gamba player\, Helen Williams. We ask for donations for this concert. Tea and cake are served from 4.30 and you’re invited to stay on after the concert for Evening Prayer.

Cue ‘In the Mood’\, ‘Get Happy’\, ‘Chattanooga Choo-Choo’ and ‘We’ll Meet again’ – just some of the tunes on offer to bring a smile and set your toes tapping. This event is free\, but we ask for donations from those who are able.
