This concert which will feature Haydn’s Nelson Mass composed for troubled times in 18th Century Europe. After the interval the Chair of Epsom & Ewell Royal British Legion will read the Kohima Epitaph before the Last Post sounds\, leading us into Fauré’s reflective Requiem. A retiring collection will be made for the Poppy Appeal. This is set to be a very special evening.

DESCRIPTION:The Central Band of The Royal British Legion\, now in its 80th year\, is delighted to return to Epsom and present its annual concert marking Remembrance Day. The programme will include a range of reflective and uplifting pieces from traditional favourites\, to stage\, screen\, and pop classics. The Central Band has performed at many high-profile events\, most recently for WW2 veterans on their recent 80th anniversary D-Day commemoration trip to France and on the One Show D-Day Special\, accompanying The D-Day Darlings. The band is led by the irrepressible Captain David Cole OBE.

DESCRIPTION:This Autumn\, St Martin’s Church Epsom will resonate with the sound of voices\, wind and brass when Epsom Chamber Choir perform two contrasting settings of the Catholic Mass\, one by romantic Bruckner and the other modernist Stravinsky\, both accompanied by wind and brass ensemble. \nIn addition\, the choir will give the first performance of a commission of Psalm 19\, “The heavens declare the glory of God” by Peter Burton and The Chameleon Arts Wind Ensemble will perform Jonathan Dove’s “Figures in the Garden”.

DESCRIPTION:Established in 1992\, Epsom Antiques and Collectors Fair is one of the longest running antique fairs in the UK calendar. \nThe event runs on a Tuesday in the Oaks Hall at the racecourse\, with more than 60 indoor stands. We also have the capacity to provide hard-standing areas for outdoor stalls\, which are allocated on a first-come first-served casual basis on the day of the event and weather dependant. \nFacilities for disabled access\, and free parking that can accommodate 1000 vehicles in car park 23. There is plenty of indoor seating and an on-site food truck for refreshments.
