DESCRIPTION:In a happy combination of anniversaries of great Georgians\, St Martin’s is celebrating both the 250th of Jane Austen’s birth and the 200th of its own glorious Georgian nave. As well as a stage adaption of ‘Pride & Prejudice’ another of the events in a celebratory weekend is a talk by historian Peter Ross exploring the domestic lives of the Georgians. In ‘Dining with James & Jane: Eating at home with the Georgians’ he unites Jane Austen with Norfolk clergyman James Woodforde to illustrate the often little-known daily lives of those who bridged the 18th and 19th centuries.

DESCRIPTION:Award-winning Welsh trumpeter\, composer\, writer\, comedian and actor Andy Davies makes a very welcome return to Epsom Jazz Club. Enjoy bebop and hard bop next to some cooler sounds in a quartet including Epsom’s own Nigel Price on guitar\, Mirko Scarcia on bass and Jamie Murray on the drums. Andy has hosted the famous Wednesday-night Upstairs Jam Session at Ronnie Scott’s\, is a resident musician at Alfie’s in Soho and has recorded two of his own albums. He has performed and recorded with the likes of Ian Shaw\, Tony Kofi\, Guy Barker’s big band\, the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars and Nigel Kennedy\, as well as performing internationally.

DESCRIPTION:Epsom and Ewell Town Twinning Association is holding its annual fun-filled Quiz Night on Friday 26th September at All Saints Community Hall\, Fulford Road\, West Ewell\, KT19 9QZ. \nDoors will open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start\, for what is sure to be an entertaining night\, with renowned quiz master Barry Nash at the helm. Teams can be up to six\, but individuals or smaller groups are welcome to sign up and be put together to make up a team.
