Debra Morley – soprano

When Epsom based soprano, Debra Morley, isn’t busy performing in London’s major venues, she’s happy to entertain local audiences in one of the town’s best concert venues, St Martin’s Church.
Accompanied by pianist Graeme Lodge, Debra presents an eclectic selection of songs ranging from the best of 18th century Italy and England, to operetta gems by Franz Lehar and the dynamic duo of Gilbert and Sullivan through to the unique genius of Ivor Novello’s writing. Prepare to be entertained!
The concert lasts about an hour. Admission is by donation.

Love Me Love My Mind workshop

The Friends of Horton Cemetery has been awarded a grant by Historic England for the Out of Sight, Out of Mind digital, arts-based project, revisioning the life histories of patients in Europe’s largest asylum cemetery. Led by Dr Alana Harris on behalf of the charity, we seek to recapture the stories of patients and create a crowd-sourced memorial, overcoming historical amnesia, neglect, and inaction.

As a part of this project, we are painting 900 ceramic flowers to commemorate the 9000 patients buried through regular arts-therapy-based craft workshops.

All welcome. Free of charge.

The event includes discussions about mental health past and present.

If travelling away from Epsom, Stew Pond car park is on the left several hundred yards beyond the Horton Lane roundabout. It is NOT the car park by the church.
Very occasionally we are forced to cancel a walk at short notice, so please check our website before setting out.
