Epsom Jazz Club – Hannah Horton

Hannah Horton
Our last gig this spring season sees the welcome return of award-winner and multi-instrumentalist Hannah Horton, who in 2024 was our first baritone saxophonist to play at the club. She’s stopping by Epsom as part of the tour for her new album, Stories on the Wind. Horton is a composer, bandleader, successful recording artist, master of her principle instrument, and is also accomplished on flute, bassoon and clarinet. On top of a successful career playing many of the country’s top stages (including the Royal Festival Hall, Barbican, Ronnie Scott’s and the London Jazz Festival) Horton is committed to giving back to the community, winning the Parliamentary Jazz Award for Education her work with J-Steps, a collective supporting teenage female and non-binary jazz musicians that she founded. Hannah will be joined by the rest of her quartet: Sam Leak on piano, Rob Statham on bass and Steve Taylor on the drums.
Line-up:
Hannah Horton – baritone and other saxes
Rob Statham – electric bass
Steve Taylor – drums
Sam Leak – piano
