Mass in Blue – And All That Jazz

An evening of jazz-inspired choral music at Epsom Choral Society’s Summer Concert at St Andrew’s Church, Cheam.
The centrepiece of the programme is Will Todd’s Mass in Blue, a combination of jazz and sacred choral music, performed with a live jazz trio and saxophone.
The programme also features John Rutter’s Birthday Madrigals, a mixture of jazz harmonies and Elizabethan part-songs, and Ola Gjeilo’s Evening Prayer, a beautifully atmospheric piece blending voices with piano and saxophone.
In addition, ECS is thrilled to present the world premiere of True Story by Russell Hepplewhite with words by former Children’s Laureate, Michael Rosen.
