Save the date for the next concert from the Surrey Philharmonic Orchestra. Join us at the Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall on Saturday 23 May at 7.30pm.
We begin with Schubert’s Overture in D, In the Italian Style, composed in 1817.
Soloist, Nicola Baigent, will then give us Glazunov’s Concerto for Alto Saxophone & string orchestra & Tartini’s Concerto for Clarinet & strings.
We finish with Mendelssohn’s wonderful 4th, or Italian symphony, inspired by the composer’s trips to Italy.
