Young Legends offered free autumn activities in Epsom and Ewell
Children aged nine to 11 living in Epsom and Ewell can take part in up to two free sports or creative activities through the return of the borough council’s Young Legends programme.
Bookings are now open, with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The programme is intended to help children develop skills and confidence, make friends and prepare for the transition to secondary school.
Activities running during November and December include basketball, coding, football, girls’ rugby, judo, musical theatre, scrapbooking, choir and tennis. A dedicated arts and crafts course is available for children with special educational needs.
Councillor Clive Woodbridge, Chair of Epsom and Ewell Borough Council’s Community and Wellbeing Committee, said positive feedback from the programme’s first year had demonstrated the value of providing such opportunities.
He said: “Through Young Legends, we’re helping children stay active, build confidence and connect with others, while working to make the programme accessible to as many young people as possible.
“Whether you want to continue with an activity you enjoyed last year or try something completely new, I encourage parents, carers and children to explore the activities on offer and give an activity a try.”

Up to two activities may be selected for each child.
